Support research studies for optimal implementation
Location:
22 Esselen Street, Hillbrow, Johannesburg
Key performance areas:
Support the study team with any research-related activity
Support visit projections and planning
Review data to identify trends, data quality issues, and areas for improvement
Maintain the project files and filling system
Support the quality control of patient files and data entries (i.e., eCRFs, CRFs)
Support the storage and archiving of data as per the SOP
Support in the preparation of monitoring visits, audits, site inspections, and similar
Support data clean-up activities resulting from assessments
Ensure adherence to project protocols, GCP, and local requirements for the ethical conduct of research in human participants
Participate in regular planning sessions with line manager and/or technical specialists
Compile prescribed reports for timely submission to the study coordinator/leadership team
Assist in patient recruitment, screening, enrolment, and retention of eligible patients according to protocol requirements as and when required
Assist with stock-take for the project, ensuring stock is maintained and low stock is flagged for procurement
Assist the team with ad hoc assignments and duties as needed, delegated by the line manager and within the scope of practice
Support all relevant project administration as and when required
Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
Required minimum education and training:
Postgraduate Degree in any Health-related field or equivalent
Required minimum work experience:
None
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:
Research Internships and/or exposure to clinical trial working environment
Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Be tactful and respectful
Ordered and systematic with strict compliance to protocols
Good administrative skills
Able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
