Individuals are invited to submit applications in response to the following position:Research ManagerPermanent PositionThis position is designed to provide scientific and administrative support to the offices of the Vice-President and President/CEO, focusing on strategic research interventions and engagements throughout the SAMRC research entities, including both intra- and extramural research units. The focus of the intramural research is on South Africa's quadruple burden of disease: maternal, newborn, and child health, HIV/AIDS and TB, non-communicable diseases, and interpersonal violence. The SAMRC's extramural units are external research divisions commissioned to conduct research on its behalf. This research - which includes basic laboratory investigations, clinical research, and public health studies - is undertaken by scientists employed by different South African and international science councils, medical schools, universities, and research institutions that work with the SAMRC.Key responsibilities:
