Job Description


The Hotel Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing the reservations department, ensuring efficient and effective booking operations, and maximizing
room occupancy and revenue. The role involves supervising reservations staff, implementing effective booking strategies, managing online and direct bookings, and ensuring exceptional
customer service.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the hotelxe2x80x99s reservations team to ensure smooth and efficient booking processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize room occupancy and revenue.
  • Monitor and manage room availability and pricing strategies in coordination with the revenue management team.
  • Handle guest inquiries and special requests professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, and online booking platforms.
  • Ensure all reservations are accurately recorded in the hotelxe2x80x99s system.
  • Analyse reservation trends and generate reports for management.
  • Train and mentor reservations staff to ensure high levels of customer service and efficiency.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and booking discrepancies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor pricing strategies.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel reservations or front office operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and booking software (Opera, Fidelio, etc.).
  • Must have own reliable transport
  • Preferably reside in the surrounding areas of Paarl

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and implement revenue-maximizing strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reservation systems.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Office-based within the hotel, with interactions with guests and front office operations.
  • May require working on weekends, holidays, or extended hours depending on hotel occupancy and demand.
