Reservations Manager
Franschhoek, Cape TownA luxury estate in Franschhoek is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Reservations Manager to oversee all aspects of the reservations department. This role requires a hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury accommodation bookings, exceptional organisational skills, and a passion for delivering a seamless guest experience.Due to the estates location, it is advised that the successful candidate resides in or near Franschhoek.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all reservations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless booking experience for guests.
  • Oversee the reservations process from enquiry to confirmation, including individual, group, and corporate bookings.
  • Maintain and update the property management system, ensuring all bookings and availability are recorded correctly.
  • Communicate with guests and travel partners, providing prompt and professional assistance with booking requests, special requirements, and changes.
  • Work closely with the front office, sales, and marketing teams to maximise occupancy and revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor booking trends and provide regular reports on reservations performance, forecasting, and revenue insights.
  • Handle deposit payments, cancellations, and refund requests in line with the estates policies.
  • Ensure all guest preferences and special requests are noted and communicated to the relevant departments.
  • Assist in implementing strategies to drive direct bookings and reduce reliance on third-party platforms.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service, ensuring all guests receive prompt and professional assistance.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in a reservations management role within a luxury hotel, lodge, or estate.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel reservation systems and property management software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional and courteous approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple bookings and enquiries efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and front-of-house teams.
  • A proactive and solutions-driven mindset with a strong understanding of revenue management.
  • Knowledge of the Franschhoek hospitality market would be an advantage.
