Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client is currently seeking a Resident Engineer for a project in KwaZulu-Natal. As a reputable recruitment agency in the engineering industry, RPO Recruitment specializes in finding the right candidates to meet our clients' needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and implementation of construction projects in KwaZulu-Natal. You will work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
• Manage project schedules and budgets.
• Work closely with project team members, including architects, contractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including clients and government officials.
• Perform site inspections and ensure quality control.
• Maintain project documentation and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in civil, electrical, mechanical, or related field.
• Relevant work experience in engineering, construction management, and project supervision.
• Strong technical skills in engineering principles, design, construction, and project management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages may be beneficial.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, make decisions under pressure, and identify solutions.
• Leadership and management skills for coordinating project teams and ensuring work completion on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Attention to detail for accuracy in engineering designs, construction plans, and project documentation.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and dynamic work environments.
