Job Description

Hire Resolve is looking for a highly skilled Resident Engineer specializing in Structural Engineering to lead our client's N3-1 Paradise Valley - Mariannhill Toll Plaza project. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the structural aspects of the project, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.Contract Type: Fixed Term (3-5 years)Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all structural engineering components of the project, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Conduct site inspections and manage the assessment, design, and construction of bridges and other structures.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
• Review and approve structural designs, reports, and construction documents.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site personnel.
• Monitor project progress, addressing any structural issues and preparing detailed reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all project phases.
• Manage structural risks and develop strategies for mitigation as necessary.

Requirements

• B.Sc Eng / B.Eng / B.Tech Eng qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Registration as Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech Eng with a recognized engineering council.
• Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in bridge and structures engineering on major road projects.
• Proven experience with SANRAL roads and related specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a collaborative team environment.
