Both for end user sale and for offloading into a private equity fund, our client specializes in large-scale land & residential developments. This streamlined team of built environment professionals has successfully executed projects across Cape Town, Gauteng, and Plettenburg Bay. Initially headquartered in Johannesburg, they have since relocated and established their base in the Western Cape.With several projects in progress and under investigation, they are looking to add additional development / project management resources to their team. One Development Project Manager will operate from Gauteng, with the flexibility to work independently from home or a co-working space. The second Development PM will be based in Plettenberg Bay, working from a serviced office, and offered provisional accommodation if relocating from another city. Each DPM will oversee 2-3 active projects and 2 pipeline projects. Reporting to the CEO and CFO, your role will involve supporting predevelopment activities and assisting with feasibility assessments. Once the financing and development agreements are in place, all project responsibilities will fall to you; include compiling weekly reports, assembling project teams, collaborating with quantity surveyors, and overseeing contractors and procurement processes. Your oversight will also extend to working with the internal Sales & Estate Agency teams to ensure all units are introduced timeously into the market and are sold or rented in line with project timelines. Gauteng based projects are currently in the affordable space, and Western Cape projects vary from affordable to luxury, but pipeline projects vary significantly, including bottom structure development.The ideal candidate must hold a tertiary qualification in the built environment, possess at least 7 years of project management experience, and demonstrate a strong track record in residential projects. Experience with substantial large-scale projects and a proactive approach will be necessary in this fast-paced business where your earnings will reflect your efforts and successes.
