Restaurant Manager / Head Waiter

Job Description


Job Summary KEY RESPOSIBILITIES

  • Supervises all Waiters, Asst. Waiters and Buffet Staff work as a team in the assigned area
  • Ensures that assigned station are ready on time and guest are welcome using their names
  • Carefully supervising the assigned section ensure guest satisfaction
  • Effectively replace waiters if necessary, in order to maintain service standards
  • Maximises revenue for food and beverage products
  • Oversees that table settings and ensures that all equipment is used correctly to avoid unnecessary damage
  • Ensures that the assigned areas comply with sanitation procedures (USPH)
  • Monitors the restaurants inventory
  • Ensures that the staff is familiar with menu content, wine list, and food and wine pairing
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Fluent English, oral and written. Any additional European language is considered an advantage (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish and French)
  • Previous ship experience is mandatory
  • High School certificate is an advantage or equivalent experience on board Cruise Ships
  • Full knowledge of USPH standards
  • Computer literacy
  • Good management and organisation skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion about hospitality and customer service driven
