Are you ready to lead dynamic commercial property development projects?Our client is a visionary group empowering change through diverse ventures in tourism, agriculture, and property development. With a steadfast commitment to equitable investments and an ethos of uplifting communities they operate in, their Private Equity Property company develops, owns and manages their own portfolio of bespoke lodges and retail centres. A dynamic and fast-moving company they also act as 3rd party property developers and property management consultants for a range of clientele. Their developed and functioning properties are then acquired which leaves room for the company to continue their expansion cycle. To lead these projects, they are looking for a Property Development Manager.As the Property Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role reporting directly to the Head of Development. Leading a dedicated team comprising a Junior Quantity Surveyor, Construction Manager, and Construction Administrator, you will oversee the entire life-cycle of property projects. From strategic land acquisition to meticulous project planning, financial management, and on-site supervision, your leadership will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for managing and executing property projects with a focus on:

  • Conduct feasibility assessments and due diligence for potential property development opportunities.
  • Strategic land acquisition and preparation.
  • Identify and manage projects risk.
  • Establish and oversee budgets for all development aspects, from initial planning to site development and leasing
  • Conceptualising and designing projects to meet client and market needs.
  • Planning and managing project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Collaborating closely with partners, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
  • Prepare project reports for submission to Development Team and EXCO.
  • Supervising construction activities to maintain quality, cost efficiency, and schedule adherence.
  • Overseeing contract development, negotiation, and administration to protect company interests.
The successful incumbent will hold a related built environment or engineering qualification paired with at least 5 years' experience in a similar property development role. A comprehensive understanding of construction concepts from the ground up is mandatory for this role. Experience with commercial property development will secure.
