Become part of a thriving listed landlord!Headquartered in Johannesburg, our client began their real estate journey by acquiring industrial properties and has since evolved to focus on the retail sector. Additionally, they own lightweight commercial buildings, which contribute to the value of their multi-billion-rand portfolio.They are seeking to hire a permanent Retail Leasing Consultant for an office-based role. Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will manage a national portfolio valued at several billion rand. Your focus will be to maintain and maintain the low vacancy rate, by proactively seeing to renewals and identifying possible threats to individual retailers successes in order to proactively resolve them. Additional responsibilities will include liaising with brokers, conducting FICA checks, preparing new leases, performing relevant calculations and sourcing new tenants for any vacant spaces.The successful incumbent will hold a matric certificate and a relevant tertiary qualification. Additionally, you should have at least 3 years of experience in retail leasing, your own vehicle, and strong negotiation skills. Only applicants based in Johannesburg will be considered for this role. Experience working for a landlord will be a plus, but experience in working on the retailers side will also be considered.
