Our client is a distinguished landlord and developer known for pioneering transformative commercial buildings. They are dedicated to expanding their portfolio as a leading Property Private Equity company, managing their own properties and those of esteemed landlords. With a strong commitment to tenant satisfaction, they handle all property management aspects internally, from cleaning and security to property and asset management. Reporting directly to the Head of Development and Property, they are seeking a Property Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the financial optimisation of buildings through management of property operations.Splitting, the portfolio down the middle with another Property Manager, you will have a support staff of 2 Centre Managers as well as a Property Administrator. You will oversee all day-to-day operations including maintenance, leasing and tenant liaison. To be successful, the incumbent will have to apply his/her property knowledge and make sure they implement it as far as possible when it comes to tenant strategies and property policies. You will be the decision maker, the manager and the advisor, helping tenants on lease, maintenance or financial queries, you will need to build strong relationships with them to ensure vacancies are kept to a bare minimum. This role will have you reporting on property metrics to senior management. Marketing of the centre will also require your expertise, from creating events to attract foot count and exposure, to maintaining the public image of the centre. To keep the company's standards your centre must be safe, clean and kept up to date, ensuring all health and safety regulations are aligned with the OSH Act, as well as having a preventative maintenance plan in place, you will do this through the management of hard and soft service contractors and managing Capex projects.To qualify for this role, you will need to have a tertiary degree in Finance, Real Estate or related fields and a minimum of 5 years' retail property management experience. The ideal candidate will also need to have a strong proficiency using property software, experience managing a team and a high level of attention to detail with solid time management and problem-solving skills.
