he Store Manager is responsible for achieving sales target and enhancing profitability through the efficient management of staff, product and operating expenses.
T
he Store Manager position includes, but is not limited, to the following major accountabilities:

tore Performance and Analysis
M
eets and exceeds sales plans set for the store within defined budgets.
U
nderstands, collects and analyzes KPI's constantly working to excel them.
A
nalyses and facilitates trends to facilitate planning.
C
ustomer Service
A
pplies and oversees adherence of the store team to the 4 mandatory selling standards, with each and every customer.
A
pplies and oversees that the store team applies every step of selling process proposed by Training Manager, exploiting every customer opportunity.
U
ses up-to-date technical product knowledge to generate sales.
A
ctively builds customer loyalty encouraging personal trade.
P
rovides outstanding and inspiring service delights beyond customers expectations by going the extra mile.
E
xceeds the company target Mystery Shopping results (75%).
R
eflects the values of the brand and demonstrates passion for the brand.
H
uman Resources Management
I
n cooperation with the Retail Manager, attracts and recruits high caliber and talented staff.
D
evelops team spirit, creates a customer focused team, build a team with complementary strengths.
T
rains, coaches, develops, and motivates to retain staff.
M
easures staff performance and controls disciplinary, capability and attendance procedures.
S
chedules staff efficiently in compliance with payroll budget using skills and specialties most appropriately in the best interest of the store.
I
mplements and follows HR procedures and policies and send timely and precise info for payroll process.
K
eeps tracks and communicates training progress using the training tracking form.
S
tock management
M
anages stock levels and makes key decisions about stock control.
E
nsures correct pricing of products displayed on the shop floor.
M
inimizes losses to achieve the company shrinkage target.
I
nputs and plans all stock movement and coordinates with the central retail team.

perations
O
versees strong compliance with and adherence to each company operational policy and procedure (cash and banking, opening and closing, health and safety, etc.).
O
versees strong compliance of company operational policy with local legislation.

f applicable, observes specific local requirements relating to the trading environment.

aintains all required paperwork meeting the required deadlines.
M
aintains permanent store cleanliness and appearance to offer a customer friendly environment.
E
nsures that repairs are handled in a professional way with precise follow-up.
I
nitiates changes to improve the business.
M
erchandising, Marketing & Promotions
M
aintains store and window presentation and visual merchandising in accordance with defined standards.
E
nsures thorough preparation and implementation of promotions and correct use of promotional POS materials.
M
akes suggestions on VM to adapt to local customer profile.
M
aximizes all local marketing opportunities.
E
nsures PR and protection of company image.
C
ommunication
C
ommunicates in a clear, concise and understandable manner and listens to others in national language and in English.
U
pdates colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues.
K
eeps abreast of local and new market trends in the retail industry, of customer preferences and monitors local competition and shares this info and makes recommendations to management.
O
versees compliance with all company policies and standards.
C
omplies with personnel dress code and grooming in line with company policy.
C
ommunicates info from local/centre mgt to Samsonite mgt team.
A
cts as an Ambassador of the Company and of the Company 's Brands.

ecurity
E
nsure the safe is locked and secure at all times.
E
nsure any store or till keys are secured at all times and alarms (where appropriate) are used in accordance with security directions.
T
o ensure that any security issues are acted upon where possible and reported to Management.
W
ork with Retail Manager to identify and address any all issues with regard to external and internal losses.
T
o remain vigilant when dealing with stock and monies, ensuring that Company Procedures are always adhered to.
H
ouse Keeping
M
aintain high standards within the branch.
E
nsure that cleaning is carried out daily and look after all fixture fittings and stock.
E
nsure all equipment is maintained to required standards.
A
ttendance
T
o report for work 5-10 minutes before the start of the shift in order to prepare for the scheduled start time.
I
f absent or late, to contact the Retail Manager at the earliest opportunity to allow for any alternative arrangements to be made.
T
o attend training courses as directed by Retail Manager, arriving at the training venue in a timely manner.
A
ppearance
M
aintain a well-groomed, neat and tidy appearance at all times, in line with Company Dress Policy.
E
nsure that your team meets the dress code and appropriately represents the Company at all times.
T
o ensure a copy of the dress policy is discussed and hand delivered to each employee.
H
ealth & Safety
E
nsure that any accidents or potential dangers to staff or customers are acted upon where possible and reported to Management.
C
heck First Aid Kit and fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.
A
dditional Responsibilities

o perform duties of a similar nature as required and directed by Management.
