The Retention and Promotions Specialist will be integral to our marketing team, focusing on customer retention strategies and executing targeted, high-impact direct marketing campaigns. This role combines technical acumen with campaign strategy, content management, and audience insights to maximize customer engagement, drive loyalty, and improve retention. You will be responsible for designing and executing engaging promotions that keep our players entertained, rewarded, and coming back for more. Your role will involve strategizing, planning, and delivering monthly, weekly, and event-driven campaigns to enhance customer engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage promotional campaigns, including welcome offers, loyalty rewards, seasonal promotions, and VIP incentives. Ensure these campaigns align with business objectives, attract new players, and enhance overall player retention.
Create innovative and engaging promotional mechanics to maximize customer engagement and retention. Design gamified promotions, interactive challenges, and customized incentives that cater to different player segments.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure promotions are effectively communicated across all marketing channels.
Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize effectiveness. Utilize analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and refine strategies based on player engagement metrics.
Stay ahead of industry trends by researching competitor promotions and player behaviours. Implement insights to create innovative promotions that differentiate the brand from competitors.
Manage bonus structures, free spins, cashback offers, tournaments, and leaderboard competitions. Develop and implement attractive reward mechanisms that encourage player activity and loyalty.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by working closely with compliance teams. Maintain transparency in promotional terms and conditions while adhering to regional gambling regulations.
Personalize offers using data insights to enhance the player journey. Segment players based on behaviour, preferences, and engagement levels to deliver targeted promotions.
Coordinate promotional calendars across different verticals and markets. Ensure promotions are well-timed, effectively marketed, and aligned with peak gaming periods and events.
Continuously test, learn, and optimize to improve key KPIs like retention rates, conversion, and player lifetime value. Conduct A/B testing on promotions and iterate based on performance insights.
Website Management & CMS: Oversee promotional content updates on the company website using a Content Management System (CMS). Ensure accurate, timely, and engaging presentation of offers and campaigns to players. Work with the web team to improve promotional visibility and player experience.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Matric / Grade 12
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a technical marketing position, with experience in I-gaming or casino industries highly preferred.
Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and bulk mailing tools (e.g., Everlytics, Sendgrid, Mailchimp).
Familiar with Optimove or similar CDP's
Experience with HTML for creating and editing email templates.
Experience with landing page tools (e.g., Landingi or similar).
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
Comfortable with CRM and back-office systems, including familiarity with customer segmentation and list management.
Basic HTML skills for setting up and modifying marketing templates.
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and persuasive campaign messaging.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Attention to detail is a must.
