Our client in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for a Revenue Manager, in Sea Point, Cape Town.Responsibilities:
The Revenue Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing commercial strategies for all revenue streams within the hotel.
Revenue Strategy Development: Create, implement, and monitor pricing strategies for rooms, F&B outlets, spa, events, and other revenue streams based on market analysis, demand forecasts, and competitive positioning.
Inventory & Pricing Management: Manage room inventory and pricing decisions to optimize revenue per available room (RevPAR) while maintaining brand standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Forecasting & Budgeting: Develop accurate revenue forecasts, contribute to the hotelxe2x80x99s annual budget process, and provide financial insights to support commercial decision-making.
Distribution Channel Optimization: Oversee and optimize performance across all distribution channels, including direct bookings, OTAs, GDS, and third-party partnerships, ensuring rate parity and maximized visibility.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and internal data to identify revenue opportunities. Generate and present detailed reports on performance metrics, including daily, weekly, and monthly revenue analysis.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with the sales, marketing, reservations, and operations teams to ensure alignment of strategies and to drive targeted revenue growth across all departments.
Revenue Performance Tracking: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ADR (Average Daily Rate), RevPAR, occupancy rates, and total revenue to ensure the property is on target to meet or exceed revenue goals.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research, analyse competitor pricing, and stay informed on global and local economic conditions affecting demand.
Guest Segmentation & Yield Management: Implement yield management techniques and customer segmentation strategies to maximize profitability for different guest segments, including leisure, business, group, and VIP clients.
Revenue Management Systems (RMS): Effectively use revenue management systems and tools to make data-driven decisions. Continuously review and optimize system settings and parameters.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue management, ideally within the luxury hotel or resort sector, with proven success in driving commercial growth.
Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Masterxe2x80x99s Degree or Revenue Management certification is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in revenue management systems (RMS), property management systems (PMS), and distribution channel management platforms. Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
Market Expertise: Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behaviour, and the competitive landscape within the luxury hospitality industry.
Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex data insights clearly to senior management and stakeholders.
Problem Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and solving revenue challenges.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous and strategic thinker capable of managing multiple revenue streams while maintaining a keen focus on the luxury guest experience.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience working within a 5-star hotel or exclusive resort environment.
Familiarity with global distribution systems (GDS), online travel agents (OTAs), and direct booking optimization strategies.
Knowledge of luxury brand standards and a commitment to upholding the exceptional service levels expected at a 5-star property.
Remuneration:
Up to R40 000 per month including company benefits.
