Job Description
We have a list of clients who are eagerly seeking a well-rounded and experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng.Duties and responsibilities include:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory developments and update internal policies accordingly.
- Train employees on compliance and risk management issues.
- Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in audits and reviews to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.
- Bachelors degree in Risk Management, Law, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Risk and Compliance Officer or similar role in the financial services or insurance industry
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards relevant to the Corporate legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RE5, CRMA, CIA ) advantageous
