They are our greatest asset.Join us and let's grow together.We are currently accepting applications for the following position located in Melrose, Johannesburg.The succesful candidate will be responsible to support the effective implementation of the Glencore Risk and Compliance Programme within the Coal South Africa Assets and Offices; the execution of the responsibilities of this role must be undertaken in line with the Glencore Values and Code of Conduct.Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Local Compliance Officer in the implementation of the Corporate Compliance Programme for Industrial Assets.
Implementing the Third-Party Due Diligence Management Procedure and risk control on intermediaries, charitable contributions, sponsorships, and community investment projects across Coal SA Business Units and Operations.
Implementing the Know Your Counterparty - Industrial Asset Standard on all Coal SA business partners.
Providing on-site training for new users and providing updates to existing users following changes in policies, procedures and requirements.
Performing sanctions and directorship checks for new appointments and continuous monitoring of conflict of interest declarations on CGR.
Conducting bi-annual review of risk registers and supporting the Local Compliance Officer in performing periodic compliance risk assessments.
Provides compliance advice for the Coal SA Business Units and Operations, regarding day-to-day compliance related matters (anti-bribery, sanctions, anti-money laundering, conflict of interests, gifts and entertainment)
Minimum Qualifications:
A Relevant Degree in Internal Audit or Control related degree (Risk Management or Compliance).
A Business Qualification is an added advantage.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Compliance, Control or Enterprise Risk Management environment.
Mining experience is an added advantage.
Knowledge of risk and governance standards.
Knowledge of risks identification, assessment, and management frameworks.
Knowledge of compliance, sanctions, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, conflict of interests, gifts and entertainment is an added advantage.
