Who are we?Sanlam Life and Savings (SLS) is focused on serving our retail and corporate clients in South Africa and further developing our strategic advantages in the South African market. Sanlam Life and Savings consists of three clusters - Sanlam Corporate, Sanlam Retail Mass and Sanlam Retail Affluent. The Sanlam Life and Savings Office provides strategic direction, coordination and support to the three clusters, as well as performing governance oversight that includes assurance provided by second line of defense functions in SLS, to enable us to meet our business objectives.What will you do?1. Proactively market Sanlam's risk offering to SanlamConnect support staff, as well as supporting and non-supporting intermediaries on a predominantly one-to-many basis, and targeted one-to-one interventions.
2. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the SanlamConnect business and relevant product houses.
3. Support SanlamConnect with:

• Product training, application and competitive positioning of Sanlam's risk offering.
• Identifying opportunities to increase penetration of relevant market segments.
• Use of business intelligence to drive growth initiatives aimed at increasing market share.
• Strategies, tactics and business plans aimed at exceeding risk targets.

4. Initiate and support agreed marketing plans with key stakeholders and the SanlamConnect business.
5. Provide regional specific feedback w.r.t. intermediary sentiment, competitor issues and risk trends, as well as support risk product house with the development of marketing support material, and tools that will assist in marketing Sanlam's risk offering.What will make you successful in this role?Qualifications:

• CFP qualification
• Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. B Comm Financial Planning will be an advantage.

Experience:

• 3-5 years relevant experience in a sales capacity within the Financial Services industry.
• Exposure to distribution channels (Financial Advisors / Independent Financial Advisors etc.).

Knowledge:

• Specialised risk product knowledge.
• Knowledge and understanding of Sanlam's and competitor risk solutions.
• Knowledge of the Life Insurance industry as it pertains to risk.
