Job Description

The Law Enforcement - Risk Technician will have two core functions, the first being the monitoring of the technology system deployed on the project in the Operations Room. This is the monitoring of radar and thermal camera systems which is our detection and early warning system ensuring the safety of the rhino for the project.The second function is to serve as an extended leg on our security initiatives which includes actively patrolling the property with the field rangers.This position is based in the North West Province of South Africa. This is an on-site position and successful candidates will be accommodated at the Law Enforcement Head Quarters.Operations Room Responsibilities:

• Monitor all technology across the project
• Admin (Vehicle Kms, Diesel, Avgas, KMs travelled etc) (Word, Excel etc)
• Radio Communications
• Monitoring all staff access
• Incident reports
• Incident response coordination with the aid of technology
• Incident response
• Intel gather (suspicious vehicles, persons etc)
• Data logging
• Report issues pertaining to the system to head of IT
• Assist IT with tech repairs
• Ranger postings
• Monitor all relevant communication groups
• Monitor LPR cameras

Field Ranger Responsibilities

• Tactical - Incident response
• Helicopter deployment
• Tactical flight officer
• Vehicle deployment
• Vehicle patrols
• Foot patrols
• Extended patrols (Posted in the field)

• Drivers license
• Firearms competency (Self-loading and Handgun)
• PSIRA (Grade C)
• Candidates need to be well versed in English (Read, Write and Speak) and also need to be proficient in the usage of computers.

Fitness Minimum Requirements

• 2.4km Run in 12m30s or under xe2x80x93 Minimum.
• 40 Push-ups in under 2 minutes.
• 50 Sit-ups in under 2 minutes.
• 5 Pull-ups in under 2 minutes (may not let go of the bar)
• 100m Firemanxe2x80x99s carry.
