R&D LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

(Longmeadow, Johannesburg)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the R&D Fillings & Decor Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for Formulation, Recipes, processes and equipment for the R&D Lab

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Be familiar with formulation, recipes, processes and equipment Explore new ingredients in various Patisserie application Will be entrusted with the entire fillings and decors process + Preparation of ingredients
+ Follow the method assigned.
Contribute to the development of new recipes and methods Report over the R&D development project, all the characteristics associated with the Patisserie tests Accuracy will be highly required Be responsible for the entire R&D Lab, insuring: + Maintenance of the existing equipment
+ Installation of new equipment
+ Follow-up and maintenance of the equipment (first contact of supplier)
+ Maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for all the team
Any other tasks assigned by Line Manager.

JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric (Grade 12) and a BSc in Food Science or relevant qualification Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a R&D Lab Technician Languages: English is a prerequisite; additional language(s) an advantage. Computer literacy: Office computer (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
