Road Freight / Tracking Controller - Cross Border - GautengFull job descriptionAbout:We are an international transport company in need of a Road Freight Controller with Cross-Border experience. Position is based in Isando, East Rand. Should you not receive a response within two weeks, please consider your application to be unsuccessful.Job Function:xc2xb7 Client Liaison, requirements, queries, changes, orders, rates, tracking positions, delays etc.xc2xb7 Follow up on vehicle delays including border problems till truck offloadsxc2xb7 Loading instructions from clients, including making orders/maps for drivers to load and ensure that vehicle details/driver details are sent to clients.xc2xb7 Loading driver instructions, ensure driver is briefed were to load and OBEs needed.xc2xb7 Ensure vehicle depart to the loading point and borderxc2xb7 Assist driver with queries telephonically, or through order number queries or barcodes.xc2xb7 Allocate vehicles once they are signed out of the workshop.xc2xb7 Request documents from clients.xc2xb7 Handover documents to dispatch to do the necessary to ensure vehicles are dispatched.xc2xb7 Ensure file have correct rates and details.xc2xb7 Ensure costing of north and south bound files is done for accounts department.xc2xb7 Request orders from Sasol for trucks to load in Secunda, updating renaissance systemxc2xb7 Monitor and prepare loading instructions in advance for loading at Sasol Secunda (Sulphur) or any other client.xc2xb7 Daily monitor and prepare barcodes for vehicles to load in Sasol Secunda using the Sasol Renaissance system.xc2xb7 Monitor submission of driver trip payments on internal information system.xc2xb7 Monitor the completion of outgoing driver worksheets and diesel order.xc2xb7 Monitor driver advances, refunds etc. Petty cash control.xc2xb7 Assist in the daily load planning spreadsheet in the absence of Operations Manager.xc2xb7 Monitor and report on fleet efficiencies, i.e. borders, loading and offloading delays.xc2xb7 Monitor and Report on data within Carlo1.xc2xb7 Review and Monitor tracking reports to customers.xc2xb7 Update TMS & tracking with relevant documentation.xc2xb7 Corridor coupons and fumigation ordersxc2xb7 Receiving south bound documents (PODs, toll slips and parking slips)xc2xb7 Ensure documents are sent to the border posts.xc2xb7 Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable and as assigned by the reporting managerQHSExc2xb7 Ensure all QHSE requirements are adhered too and relevant policies and procedures are followedMinimum Education, Experience Requirements & Core Competencies:xc2xb7 Matricxc2xb7 Road Transport qualification or any relevant course qualification is an advantage.xc2xb7 Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a road controller in a similar environment.
