Job Description
Hire Resolve's client, a reputable mining company is seeking a Rock Engineer Superintendent to join their mining team based in the Northern Cape. As a Rock Engineer Superintendent, you will be responsible for designing and implementing rock support systems, conducting geotechnical assessments, and providing technical expertise to the mining team.Responsibilities:
- Design and implement rock support systems for underground mining operations
- Conduct geotechnical assessments to evaluate ground conditions
- Provide technical guidance and support to the mining team
- Monitor ground conditions and recommend appropriate measures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize mine design and planning
- Mentor and train junior rock engineers
- Grade 12
- BSc Degree in Mining/Geology/BTech in Mining Engineering
- Strata Control Certificate (Chamber Of Mine)
- Rock Mechanics Certificate (Chamber Of Mine)
- 5 years' experience as a Strata Control Officer within the mining industry
- 2 years' experience as a Rock Engineer/Supervisory role.
- Salary: Negotiable
