Job Description
RPO Recruitment's client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join their team in the mining industry in Mpumalanga. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of workers and compliance with safety regulations.Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards
- Implement and maintain safety management systems and procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and provide detailed reports
- Deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- COMSOC 1&2
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the coal mining industry.
- Knowledge of relevant safety laws and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Salary: negotiable
