Job SummaryJob Title: Safety OfficerLocation:Limpopo, Greater Sekhukhune District, BurgersfortJob Type:24 Month Contract, expected to work full-time hoursJob Duties:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Provide safety training to employees on various safety topics including hazard identification and control measures
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and procedures
- Maintain safety records and reports

- COMSOC1&2
- Registration with the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as a Health and Safety Officer or Professional
- Proven experience working as a Safety Officer in a mining environment
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 10+ years in a safety role, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to mining or similar high-risk industry
- Understanding of risk assessment and management
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
