Job OverviewResponsible for implementing and managing comprehensive safety protocols in the chrome plant environment.Qualifications/Required
- Grade 12.
- Safety Management Diploma/Degree or Equivalent.
- COMSOC 1 & 2 Certification.
- NOSA Certification.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Required: Plant Safety Officer Experience (5-10 years).
- Preferred: Chrome Plant Environment Safety Officer Experience (2-5 years).
- Develop and implement safety management systems.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate and report workplace incidents.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Train staff on safety procedures.
- Maintain safety documentation and records.
- Recommend safety improvements.
- Advanced safety management knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Detailed documentation skills.
- Regulatory compliance expertise.
- Proficiency in safety management systems.
- Understanding of industrial safety protocols.
- Knowledge of OSHA and industry-specific safety standards.
- Risk assessment techniques.
- Reports to: Plant Operations Manager.
- Interfaces with: Department Heads, HR, Compliance Teams.
- Incident reduction rates.
- Safety compliance scores.
- Staff safety training completion.
- Regulatory audit performance.
