Job Description
Job Title: Safety OfficerLocation: Ballito, KwaZulu-NatalJob Type: Full-timeMinimum Qualifications:
- SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions) certification
- 2-3 years of experience in construction and plumbing safety
- Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle
- Strong understanding of safety legislation, regulations, and standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety management systems Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards
- Manage and maintain accurate safety files and records - Provide training and guidance on safety procedures and protocols
- Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
- Clear understanding of safety files and prepping of safety files per job site
- Firm understanding of audits per site
- Must be able to run and manage a team, address issues as they arise and manage PPE
