Job Description
RPO Recruitment is currently representing a leading mining company in North West, who is seeking a skilled Safety Officer to join their team.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments
- Implement and maintain safety management systems and procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and provide detailed reports
- Deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols
- Grade 12 certificate
- Degree/Diploma in Risk Management or related field
- SAMTRAC/COMSOC 1&2 qualification is essential
- At least 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the mining industry
- Experience in investigation, inspection & reporting
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Salary: Negotiable
