Job Description


Purpose of the RoleThe Sage 300 Payroll Implementation Consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Sage 300 Payroll solutions for clients. This role involves analyzing client requirements, setting up payroll systems, providing training, and ensuring seamless integration with HR and accounting systems. The consultant will work closely with clients to ensure successful adoption and compliance with payroll regulations.Key Responsibilitiesxf0x9fx94xb9 Implementation & Configuration

  • Assess client payroll requirements and customize Sage 300 Payroll to meet business needs.
  • Configure payroll structures, tax setups, benefits, deductions, and reporting.
  • Ensure seamless integration with accounting, HR, and other business systems.

  • Provide user training and workshops to ensure clients understand and effectively use Sage 300 Payroll.
  • Offer post-implementation support to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Develop user manuals and best-practice guidelines for system usage.
xf0x9fx94xb9 Compliance & Payroll Processing
  • Ensure payroll systems comply with South African payroll legislation, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Assist clients with payroll processing, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and advise clients accordingly.

  • Manage end-to-end payroll system implementation projects within agreed timelines.
  • Conduct system testing, data migration, and quality assurance before go-live.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide expert consulting services.

  • Analyze existing payroll processes and recommend improvements.
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements to optimize payroll performance.
  • Identify and resolve system issues, working closely with software vendors if needed.
Minimum Requirementsxf0x9fx8ex93 Education & Experience:
  • Degree/Diploma in HR, Finance, Accounting, or IT (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in Sage 300 Payroll implementation and support.
  • Strong understanding of South African payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in business process analysis and system integration.

  • Expertise in Sage 300 Payroll and related HR/payroll modules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and report generation.
Advantageous:
  • Experience with other payroll/HRIS software solutions.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries and reporting tools.
  • Sage 300 Payroll certification
