RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ACCOUNTING OF OWN PORTFOLIO OF CLIENTS - INCLUDING MORE COMMON DAILY TRANSACTIONS

Process accounting records up to trial balance Management of processing of accounting records. Reconciliation and variance reports based on financial management information Month and year end journals and/or provisions Financial statements in accordance with relevant account framework Finalise year end check list Hand over accounting files to audit department Management of processing of audit journals Payroll administration and review of payroll administration Prepare detailed timesheets on Greatsoft Assist clients with latest Pastel software updates Preparation of monthly management accounts Review of SAIPA logbooks

TAXATION- VAT/PAYE/UIF

VAT; PAYE/UIF returns; reconciliations and payments IRP5 certificates and reconciliations WCA returns and reconciliations Preparation/ review/ submission of bi annual EMP501 returns

RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TEAM OF JUNIOR ACCOUNTING CLERKS

Allocate work Providing training and assistance Manage and review of all accounting work

CLIENTS

Maintain and develop client relationships Client satisfaction Recruitment of clients

Desired Experience & Qualification

A Hons BComm or similar qualification with Accountancy as a major Completed articles with an auditing firm Proven relevant work experience in a similar environment Proven ability to give guidance to colleagues at senior level; Desire to supervise and mentor more junior team members. The ability to take ownership of work, manage time effectively, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure. Excellent computer proficiency, with advanced experience in Excel Superior written and verbal communication skills (English and Afrikaans) Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills and exceptional judgement
