Job Description
This new opportunity is within the tax department of a long-established, small accounting & auditing professional practice. They are open to considering an accounting articled clerk or a candidate with a bit of a bookkeeping type background with a definite interest / orientation towards developing career in tax.Need to be living preferably on the East Rand of Johannesburg or not more than 30kms away, have own dedicated transport and preferably with confident English and Afrikaans communication skills.Duties include:
- Assist Tax Manager
- Preparation and submission of tax returns for all tax types i.e., Individual, Companies and Trusts
- Liaison with tax clients regarding tax matters
- Reviewing assessments and preparing verification replies to SARS
- Objections to assessment and requests for remission for penalties
- You will be required to travel to clients - reimbursement for this travel @ R4.64 per kilometre where approved
- Accfin tax experience is preferred.
- E-filing experience is essential
- Basic Word and Excel experience is essential
- Commerce / Accounting degree or part thereof an advantage
- Recognized Taxation qualification an advantage
- Where you currently reside - specific suburb
