Our client, a leading distributor of value-added cable and networking systems, is currently seeking a Sales Account Manager with strong technical expertise to join their team. The role involves engaging with end users to present tailored solutions and products, aiming to have these products included in the client's installation standards or specification documents.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential: National Senior Certificate.
Preferred: Qualification completed in Lead Generation, Business Development, or General Sales Management.
Essential Experience: 3 years of experience in a Sales role.
Preferred Experience: 5 years of experience in a similar role within the ICT / Telecoms industry.
Willing to travel within Africa.
Own vehicle and Driver's License.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively seek new opportunities, generate leads, and contribute to business growth.
Demonstrate an innovative approach to adding value to customers and closing deals.
Own and exceed revenue targets, including accurate forecasting of sales.
Organise and manage the sales pipeline effectively, developing customer development and account plans.
Quickly learn and understand the technical aspects of products to present solutions effectively to end users, aligning with their business needs and strategic goals.
Build robust, data-backed selling stories and value propositions to support proposals.
Engage with clients to ensure the inclusion of the company's products in their technical specifications, contributing to long-term adoption and integration.
Build relationships with key decision-makers, including executives, to showcase the value and benefits of the solutions offered.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product development, technical, and marketing) to align solutions with customer needs and business goals.
Continuously explore new ways to grow revenue and add value to existing accounts.
Professionally manage rejection and persistently push forward to meet objectives.
Stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and competitors to enhance knowledge and present relevant, innovative solutions to clients.
Prepare and maintain detailed records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions.
Generate and analyse reports on account activity and performance.
Document key customer information, including feedback, contracts, and communication logs.
Organise and schedule regular account reviews, check-ins, and follow-up meetings.
Assist in the preparation of internal reports or presentations related to clients.
