SALES AND DATA ANALYST (EE) | CAPE TOWNOur client, a leading global beauty company is offering a Sales and Data Analyst position. They are World #1 in Fragrance and World #3 in Colour Cosmetics. Youll get to work in a diverse environment with a team who are passionate about the work they do and know how to have some fun along the way.As a Sales and Data Analyst, you should be able to analyse and synthesise large amounts of data and ensure records and reports are accurately maintained and provide practical guidance to optimise sales strategies to increase market share. You will be responsible to collect and examine data and use the information gathered to create coherent, intelligent reports. Manage the development team for the BI reporting tool. Need to drive projects as and when needed.YOUR DAY TO DAYYour main areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to the following:

• BI Tool and sales systems (Cognos and Repsly) ownership and management, data integrity, development, sales templates, reporting, user licences and training
• Compiling, analysing, and reporting sales data (STT, Retail Sales, BA Commission and expenses)
• Monitoring and analysing competitive activity, customer, and market trends (Data Orbis)
• Review past sales data to determine trends in productivity
• Providing actionable insights to guide the sales and marketing teams
• Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives
• Monitoring and evaluating sales performance
• Determining sales potential and making recommendations
• Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources
• Evaluate third-party data to determine best practices for company success
• Collaborate with team members and members of other departments
• Prepare and compile monthly expenses /provisions from the sales teams
• Process mapping for continued efficiencies and effectiveness

MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in business Administration, Finance, or Marketing or equivalent
• Cognos experience (or similar business analytics/reporting system)
• 5+ years in research and data analysis skills
• Retail experience

• Proficient in Microsoft office with advanced Excel
• Advanced problem-solving, reporting and analysis skills
• Able to plan, prioritise and self-manage deliverables
• High level of organization and detail-orientation
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
