Job Description

To manage customers sales accounts in order to maximize short and medium term profitability of the company by:

Managing customer accounts Identification of customers' requirements Balancing customers' requirements with the organisational capacity Negotiating optimum price, product and service package to meet customers' requirements Building and sustaining sound business relationships.

Core Elements of Job



To achieve sales volumes in the specific portfolio of customers; Meeting sales volume budget and forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. To be responsible for achieving sales (demand) forecast accuracy Meeting an accuracy of more than 100% monthly in the sales forecast to enable the business to plan, while managing working capital. To make sure that the expectation each customer is achieved; Meet expectaion of each customer without comprising company name. To make sure that the business price targets are achieved within the price range. Negotiating selling prices at each customer within the mandate given, while retaining/growing volumes through selling the full value proposition offered to the market. Use best pricing models, tools and practices to maximize margins. To report on business performance targets daily; weekly and monthly. Generating monthly sales report, including margin optimization and visit reports. To Conduct Problem solving and pro-active actions. Ensure the value chain impact is minimized by paying attention to supply and delivery. Pro-active sales management of delivery of products to customers. To achieve Customer Satisfaction levels in line with business goals and objectives. Handling customer issues which cause dissatisfaction; reporting back to customers complaints and issues of dissatisfaction. To Resolve actions arising from the customer satisfaction surveys. Put specific actions in place to ensure issues of dissatisfaction are addressed where appropriate. To gather and communicates customer and market intelligence. Keeping the business, functions and divisions (where appropriate) updated with customer and market developments. To ensure that customer complaints, queries and claims are being dealt with promptly; Working with functions and management and reporting back to customers where complaints are managed to the satisfaction of the customer before the close out of the complaint. To Develop Contract management programme, Negotiate, co-ordinate through legal, supply chain and all other applicable functions and manage customer specific contracts and compliance where applicable.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:



S A citizenship Matric with Degree in Business/Marketing Management 5-10 years of proven key account management & sales experience in marketing Industry, preferably. Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.

Skills and attribute / Key competencies:



Strong communication, active listening. Product knowledge & negotiation Relationship-building abilities, along with adaptability and problem-solving skills. Reliable, organized and attention to detail. Willing to work out of office, travelling & meet with new sales leads. Enjoy Working with People Organization and administration skills essential. Accountable with good follow-through. Commercial awareness.
