Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing the successful incumbent will be required to administer, support and coordinate related tasks. Provide an operational support to the Sales & Marketing team whilst maintaining the quality and standards of the Westin Cape Town Hotel in accordance with Marriott International Policies and Procedures within a pressurized environmentRequirements Experience & Qualifications

  • Recognized Hotel school / Sales related qualification preferable
  • Professional disposition
  • Professional telephone, communication and email etiquette
  • Strong planning and administrative and organizing skills
  • Ability to work within a pressurized environment
  • Ability to use Initiative and be proactive and self-driven
  • Ability to work without supervision and within a team
  • Organized, detail-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Customer service orientation essential
  • People centric with a strong focus on the guest experience
  • Well-groomed appearance and well as per company standards
  • Positive can do attitude & eager to learn new concepts and practices
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
  • Passion for the travel & hospitality industry

  • Excellent internal and external communication skills, both verbal and written

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide an operational and administrative support to the department as required
  • Prepare, administer related documents as required
  • Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals.
  • Perform other duties as and when required
