Sales Engineer - Middelburg
Exciting Opportunity for a Dynamic Sales ProfessionalA leading company in the industrial sector is seeking an accomplished Sales Engineer to drive growth and profitability across African markets. This role, based in Middelburg, is ideal for professionals with a robust background in the Mining, Power, Oil & Gas industries and a passion for building lasting client relationships.About the Role
Reporting directly to the Vice President, Service Sales Africa, you will:

• Drive Sales: Secure orders for engineered industrial products and services through a relationship-based approach, engaging decision-makers in the raw material, steel, power, oil & gas sectors.
• Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand key business drivers, competitor activities, and market potential in the mining & metals industry.
• Client Engagement: Perform product application audits at customer facilities, ensure CRM data accuracy, and deliver high-quality client call reports.
• Financial Targets: Meet and exceed sales targets, ensuring actual sales align with projected figures and promoting repeat business and market share growth.

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Education: National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or a related field).
• Industry Experience: 3 - 5 years in the Mining and Power, Oil & Gas industry, with proven experience in selling, negotiating, and closing commercial service agreements/contracts.
• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of market drivers, competitor activities, SWOT analysis, and excellent sales & negotiation skills.
• Technical Insight: Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and drivelines (motors, couplings, gearboxes), complemented by proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Personal Attributes: Highly persuasive, socially confident, analytical, innovative, and results-oriented. You must be a strategic relationship builder with excellent communication and conflict management skills.
