REPORTING TO THE AREA SALES MANAGER, TO SERVICE NORTHERN CAPE AREA JOB PURPOSE Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by using specialised knowledge of the relevant technology to give customers the required information on operations and maintenance. Responsible for meeting a specific sales budget or target. JOB FUNCTION: Existing business is retained at agreed percentage, and market share is increased by obtaining new business Monthly and annual sales budget is met Products and services are delivered to customer as per SLA and customer satisfaction is maintained All client requests are responded to within 24 hours and customer visits take place as scheduled Mill Inspections/Wear Audits, Screen/Trommel/Flotation Surveys( as relevant to business unit) are updated and available when required, and stock take as and when required Incidents and innovations are logged on Sheqsys as they arise Customer information is captured on system as it is received after each visit, weekly call plans are submitted to Manager and call reports are prepared by due date Marketing packs are collected before visits and all expenditures are reconciled by due date Quotations are completed as and when required, sign off quotes within limit of authority and quotation feedback after each visit is provided Call reports are prepared by due date and three monthly order forecast updated monthly Attendance and participation at exhibitions as discussed with Manager Market research is conducted in designated areas , Incidents and Innovations logged on SHEQYS as they arise Presentations are delivered to customer as required, opportunities are supported with point of sale material and quarterly presentation to management of market research and marketing activities in own area is done
QUALIFICATION: Tertiary qualification in Engineering(Mechanical/Metallurgical) Sales/Marketing Diploma is advantageous At least 3 years relevant sales experience, preferably in a mining environment REQUIREMENTS: Valid drivers licence Communication, customer focused, high work standards, persuasive and can build strategic working relationships Proficient in MS Office packages and JDE would be advantageous
