SALES ESTIMATOR [MANUFACTURING]Location: DurbanOur client is seeking a Sales Estimator with a strong background in the fabrication/steel industry. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of CNC programmes, interpreting technical drawings as well as experience working in a manufacturing environment. This role requires estimating, costing, and direct client engagement, ensuring accurate project pricing and feasibility assessments.Responsibilities:
- Estimating and preparing cost calculations for projects within the metal industry.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and CNC programmes.
- Engaging with clients to understand project requirements and provide accurate quotes.
- Working closely with the factory team to ensure feasibility of estimates.
- Using Syspro (preferred) and Microsoft applications for quoting and documentation.
- Assist the sales department with procuring new customers.
- Proven experience in sales estimating within a factory/manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Syspro knowledge is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
