Job Description


ENVIRONMENT:A highly motivated, dynamic & solutions-driven Sales Manager with a strong background in FMCG sales and a proven record for driving sales in and across the African Region, is sought by a dynamic Mobile Specialist. You will help expanding the business footprint in the African Market by developing and implementing strategic sales plans, pricing and marketing strategies. You will also be expected to identify and pursue new business opportunities in alignment with sales targets while representing the company at relevant Trade Exhibitions. There will be around 10 days of cross border travel per month. This role requires a goal-oriented team player with long standing existing relationships in the Telecommunications industry throughout Africa with a primary focus in Southern Africa. You will require around 5 years' Sales experience, excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills and the drive to thrive in a target-driven environment. Ability to speak Portuguese, would be beneficial for the role.DUTIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to penetrate and grow our African footprint.
  • Develop pricing and Marketing strategies pertinent to said territories.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in alignment with sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers both in open market and Operator level in the target territories.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends i.e. in country TAM'S, market size, penetration, segmentation, and customer needs to drive market share growth.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and relevant OEMs to tailor promotional strategies that resonate with the targeted African consumer base.
  • Provide regular sales reports/ projections, forecasts, and analysis to management.
  • Identify and represent the company at relevant Trade Exhibitions in-country.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sales experience with longstanding relationships in the African market, ideally in the Telecommunications, mobile handset distribution, or IT hardware/software industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing sales in the African market. Historical success in developing/ growing African markets from grass root level.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • The role requires cross border travel of +/- 10 days per month.
Advantageous -
  • Knowledge of export documentation, shipping (INCO Terms) and payment methods.
  • Ability to converse in Portuguese, French.
