Elum Energy is a fast-growing company based in Paris with offices in Morocco, South Africa, UAE, India, Singapore, Mexico & Brazil specialized in monitoring & control solutions for solar power plants. Elum technology allows for simple and optimized operations of rooftop solar plants or utility scale ground PV plants coupled or not with energy storage systems (batteries) and in some cases with existing thermal generation units (diesel generators).Our reference customers are constructors (EPCs) and operators (IPPs) of solar power plants and/or energy producers such as TOTAL, ENGIE, GreenYellow, SolarCentury...Our technology currently equips more than 1000 solar power plants in more than 40 countries, from 100kWp to 100MWp.Those plants directly power factories & shopping centers for example, are built to feed into the national grid (Europe), or are built to power remote / islanded cities (Caribbean, South Asia or in some African countries).Our technology, ePowerControl allows to supervise and automatically control these solar hybrid power plants in an efficient way, and its declination in different by-products allows to manage both "simple" type hybrid power plants in self-consumption and more complex power plants of several MWp in grid injection.We are looking for talented, passionate and creative profiles - sharing our passion for renewable energies - to help us build tomorrow's electricity grid!Follow us on LinkedIn for more information on our job offers and news:As Sales Manager you report to the Area sales manager based in South Africa:Direct Sales :

  • Business Development: prospect for new leads in your region, understand the market positioning of these companies and the kind of projects they work on to identify if it could be an opportunity for the company. If there is an opportunity, understand the project and draft a relevant proposal to suit their requirements.
Partnership management:Build partnership with manufacturers and integrators having local presence in the region to create a solution helping end-customers and EPCs access a turnkey storage solutionAccount management, support and sales training of these new partnersDistribution management :Define the commercial strategy of distribution to maximize Elum's sales. Build internal consensus based on the proposed strategy and implement itDirect and manage the activities of distributors to increase sales and visibilityConduct commercial and financial negotiations until the distribution agreement is signedTrain distributors sales team and support them in their salesReporting:Create and maintain comprehensive sales follow-up in ERPPrepare presentations and reports for different committees, as neededAct as liaison between Logistics and customer to resolves problems such as Shipping incoterms, labeling requirements,, product availability and payment statusMarket analysis:Analyze market and end customer expectations and evaluation of potential and opportunitiesBenchmark events, webinars and trade shows that would be the most relevant for Elum to be presentCommunication / Marketing:
  • Represent Elum in events
Preferred ExperienceMaster's degree in a technical field and/or business.Previous international experience in salesStrong knowledge and relevant experience in the solar energy fieldProven track record in leading sales for renewable energy products.Fluent in English, another language is a plus.Computer proficiency.Excellent knowledge of the solar market in SCADAProactivity and autonomy and creativity.Ethical with a drive to succeed.Positive attitude.Excellent networking, persuasion, negotiation and deal closing skills.Communication : Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Leadership skillsDiplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple stakeholdersOpen minded, willing to receive and accept feedback, as well as giving constructive criticism to peers and team and from allAdaptabilitySelf-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demandsFlexible and agile, able to be proactive and to manage the change in a growing organization
