A strong personality who demonstrates firm leadership skills.
A proven track record in sales and marketing would be an advantage.
Unafraid of operating within a highly competitive market.
Be able to deal with basic technical challenges associated with the industry.
A self-starter able to work independently and, when required, alongside his/her sales personnel.
Ability to work co-operatively amongst a team comprising supply chain management, finance and admin to ensure efficient front-to-end work flows.
A close knowledge of the composites industry will be an advantage.
Ability to compile and understand financial reports.
Communication skills - written and verbal - essential.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Promote, market and sell a basket of Company products used in the South African composites market thereby creating a strong brand awareness.
Retain existing customers and secure new ones on the back of professional levels of service and support.
Contribute meaningfully to the development and growth of the composites industry through working with all stakeholders to promote the use of composite materials as a viable alternative option.
Present annual budgets (and the assumptions on which they are based) for consideration by the Executive.
Provide monthly reports on the current and forecasted performance and activities of the branch as well as activities of competitors including their pricing policies, competitive advantages - if any - and highlights/issues that impact the market.
Provide the supply chain function with regular forecasts of products and their different grades in order to facilitate management of lean stock inventories.
The position will report directly to the General Manager.
Actively participate in management and control of the debtors book.
Management of Johannesburg sales staff.
