Job Description


Sales Management:

  • Ensure that the strategic priorities/key targets are implemented and closely monitored by:
  • Facilitating target setting;
  • Managing the sales targets and the end to end process of achieving these targets;
  • Reviewing and compiling regular sales reports and where necessary, brainstorm contingency plans that can deliver immediate and definable results on the gaps in target/s;
  • Facilitating and driving all negotiation strategies together with the Sales Development Manager;
  • Reviewing, forecasts and projecting advertising revenue
  • Co-ordinating ongoing Sales Team Meetings with Account Executives or any other relevant Teams to manage the key deliverables in CTS; and
  • Ensuring operational oversight of the sales department including Direct and Agency Account Executives, Creative Solutions, Digital Commercials, Trade Marketing and Traffic.
Personnel Management:
  • Managing the Sales Team, including but not limited to Account Executives, Sales Co-ordinators and Trade Marketing.
  • Mentor, coach and guide the Sales Team to develop and grow capabilities and skills.
  • Ensure that employees are adequately trained and/or are aware of new and existing standards and/or policies, trends, and establishing best practice that sets the Sales Team apart from the Industry.
  • Ensure that all working practices, policies and processes are regularly assessed and adapted to create an accountable, performance driven culture with clear lines of accountability.
Budget Compliance:
  • Ensuring operational excellence in operations by closely monitoring budgets and targets.
  • Ensure monthly, quartely and annual target achievement.
  • Effectively manage all Trade Marketing activities and budgets as per managementxe2x80x99s mandate.
Stakeholder Liaison:
  • Developing and sustaining strong working relationships with agencies and clients and/or all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that the team has a through understanding and/or knowledge of the clients and their portfolios including their brands and target audience in order to maximise sales revenue.
  • Ensuring that contract negotiations are finalised in line with established standards, and that best practice with key deliverables are clearly defined.
