Our client, the well-established Arboreta Nurseries, based in Wellington, has the above position available for a self-motivated, creative team player with excellent interpersonal skills to join their team. The ideal candidate is highly attentive to detail & has the ability to work effectively under pressure. The successful candidate will be responsible for: *social media management, including related designing processes and photography *achieving sales targets by actively promoting & selling nursery products to our clients *utilize plant technical knowledge to provide expert advice & guidance to customers on product selection, care, & maintenance *assisting in drawing up sales & marketing plans & budgets *assisting with building & maintaining customer relationships & new market development *stay updated on industry trends, market developments, & competitor activities to inform sales and marketing strategies *all administrative tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: Matric required, a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous; Approximately 2-3 years' experience in a similar role; Strong plant technical knowledge to effectively advise customers on product selection & care; Strong social media skills; Knowledge of the nursery industry would be advantageous; Thorough computer skills (MS Office required/CRM/social media platforms); Flexibility to work occasional weekends & attend events outside of regular business hours; Valid driver's license & willingness to travel to meet clients or attend events as needed.
