SALES PRODUCTION PLANNERLocation: JohannesburgOur client is looking for a Sales Production Planner to join their team.They will oversee, manage, and coordinate the production planning and job costing for manufactured parts sales.Responsibilities:

• Monitors, analyses, and reports performance to schedule of production activities utilising information derived from material and production control systems.
• Function as the focal point in creating a production schedule for Workshops using the best combination of Visual Manufacturing MRP System and / or Excel. The production schedule will provide an in-depth audit on production requirements, manufacturing capacity, schedule, and workforce size
• Coordinate with internal aftermarket sales and production to sequence manufacturing, assembly of manufactured goods.
• Participate in production meeting discussions.
• Provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting processes.
• Monitor quality, service, and delivery issues, and raise corrective actions against relevant internal departments as required through company Non-Conformance Procedures.
• Coordinate with departments as needed to identify and resolve issues regarding budget and delivery.
• Research and assign manufacturing times and due dates on parts as needed and document during the releasing process.
• Accurately maintain and supervise others performing the job-master database in MRP system.
• Function as the focal point to move towards a more efficient system of entering engineering releases.
• Stay informed of current and forecasted projects, manufacturing workload, and manufacturing processes.
• Routine clerical duties to support department activities, equipment and supervision of others performing these duties.
• Research order and delivery discrepancies and resolve MRP related issues. Take appropriate corrective actions to prevent similar issues.
• Quantify the cost of a planned production jobs and report cost findings to the Finance Cost Accountant, considering the appropriate margin and quote released by Aftermarket Sales for planned production job to end user.
• To develop models on which to base recommendations to Production Manager on resources required in production departments to achieve budgeted revenue, productivity, and result targets.
• Routinely communicate and supervise those performing the take of spares shortages to Procurement Department in following up on orders placed for spares as required by the production process in order to achieve planned production schedule.
• Routinely communicate component/job shortages and deadlines to Procurement Officer and or Procurement Department to ensure timeous deliveries to workshop assembly floors.
• Routinely communicate outsourced contractor component delays to Key Accounts Managers to close out with personnel.
• Assist the Workshop Foremen in managing the cost of manufactured parts and local modifications based on signed works orders.
• Ensure signed works orders are received by Sales/Branch.
• Utilise the company's computerised management system to record all required information.

Requirements:

• Matric
• Diploma and or Certificate in Project Management / Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing.
• Certificate and or Diploma in Supply Chain Management
• Minimum of 3 years planning within a similar manufacturing sales environment.
• Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing or other MRP/ERP systems.
• High level of computer literacy (Excel/Microsoft Projects/Microsoft Office)
• Experience working within an ISO Quality Management System.
• Own transport/valid driver's license.
