The position is based in the KwaZulu- Natal North Coast, in South Africa, and will report directly to the Field Sales Manager.The positionAs a Sales Representative in Diabetes at Novo Nordisk, your key responsibilities will be to build and maintain strong relationships with health care professionals in the Diabetes field. A strong performer is needed to:

  • Achieve sales targets and growth in the allocated territory, by promoting Novo Nordisk products to healthcare professionals. This will require that you execute sales strategies effectively, efficiently and ethically and participate as a member of a high performing team.
  • The role will further require that you build consultative relationships with clinicians, pharmacists, nurses and other pharmaceutical and related stakeholders.
Promote and sell our diabetes products to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, hospitals, and other public institutions.Develop and implement sales strategies to reach potential customers and manage existing customer relationshipsQualificationsYou hold a University Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Medicine / Pharmacy / Biology or related Science or Paramedical qualification. Moreover, you need to have:At least, 3 years of experience as a Sales Representative in the pharmaceutical industry. It will be a plus to have experience in diabetesValid driving LicenceProficiency in EnglishYou have good planning and organisational skills and the agility and willingness to quickly adjust to new situations in a continuously developing environment.You have the ability to engage people with different backgrounds (Science, business, etc.) and work within a diverse environment and have good decision making, problem-solving skills, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiateAs a person you are a dynamic high-performer with a strong performance-driven track record who is highly engaged and demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with stakeholders, business development and drive their personal development.About the departmentNovo Nordisk South Africa is looking to appoint a Sales Representative who will be changing possibilities for people living with diabetes, by promoting and selling Novo Nordisk products to selected targeted customers in the Kwa Zulu Natal area through implementation of the agreed Marketing and Sales strategies in a manner that is consistent with operational requirements and upholding the Novo Nordisk Way.Working at Novo Nordisk
