Job Summary



Responsible to execute the sales operational plan, build & maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and manage the key accounts, responsible for new business development by investing in own personal development and living the comapany values.

Key Tasks



Execute the sales plan



Provide input to the Sales plan when required. Always adhere to the sales budget. Understand the sales potential per customer. Obtain the logistical requirements from Direct Manager to service the customer base as agreed. Operate within the Service Level Agreement . Prepare and provide monthly feedback to the Direct Manager based on the execution of the operational plan. Be proactive with customers when it comes to servicing customers.

Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers and manage the key accounts



Gather competitive info on pricing, brands etc. Deal with different customers on different levels when required. Plan and managed instore promotions and demos Build continuous relationships and liaise with internal Managers and other colleagues to collaborate. Manage and handle client queries and resolving complaints immediately. Share expertise and market intelligence with customers ongoing.

Responsible For New Business Development



Cold calling of new potential clients as agreed. Identify new markets and new customers to expand the product range in collaboration with the Finance Department. Gather competitive info on pricing, brands etc. Review credit terms and credit limits for clients on an ongoing basis. Reactivate dormant accounts. Network with clients ongoing.

Responsible to sell the Company product range



Make monthly sales targets as agreed. Achieve the required gross profit margins within reason and collaboration with your Direct Manager. Manage Debtors days within the allocated period. Target weekly sales by customer.

Invest in personal development



Ensure achievement of own performance objectives. Attend scheduled training as agreed. Ensure completion of any assessments to evaluate understanding. Fill in attendance registers when required.

Living the company values and adhere to all the policies and procedures



Display behaviours that support the culture that is consistent with the vision, mission and values of the company. Always adhere to all the policies and procedures within the company. Behave ethically and handle things confidentially.

Define the outputs and your role specific to your team. This will ensure collaboration within the team.

Essential Qualifications



Matric

Experience



3-5 years sales or key account experience in a branded Frozen food environment. 5-8 years sales or key account experience in a further processed frozen food sales environment. 2-year FMCG experience

Legal or Statutory Requirements



Clear criminal record Valid Code B driver's licence Passed medical exams Own transport

Knowledge and Skills



Knowledge of return policies Frozen Food knowledge Business and Financial acumen knowledge Knowledge of the Eastern Cape market Knowledge of the target customer base Monthly reporting and feedback skills Relationship building skills Up- and cross selling MS Office on a basic level. Store demos and promotions Quality service knowledge Merchandising/Shelf space management Cold calling/market development skills Numerical skills Good communication skills Negotiation skills
