SALES REPRESENTATIVEA challenging opportunity has become available for a self-motivated, highly driven, and innovative individual to join a large Logistics company based in Durban.REPORTING LINEBusiness Development ManagerLOCATIONHead Office - KwaZulu NatalDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:Client Acquisition and Prospecting

  • Identify and target potential clients in industries that require logistics and supply chain services.
  • Conduct market research to find new business opportunities and assess client needs.
  • Provide support to the Business Development Team in setting up new clients.
Experience5 to 7 years of experience in Logistics (Warehousing, Transport and Depot) environment.Sales Strategy and Planning
  • Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the client base.
  • Create sales plans that align with Logistics' business objectives and market trends.
  • Assist the regions formalizing quotes for new business.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
  • Understand clients' logistics needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs.
Project Coordination
  • Work with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of logistics solutions.
Market Analysis, Feedback and Sales Reporting
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide feedback to the company on market demands and client preferences.
  • Track sales performance, including metrics like sales volume, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and sales activities.
  • To compile tenders in line with company protocols.
  • Providing the Management with monthly client stats.
Rates and Tariffs
  • Send supporting documents (credit applications and STC's) to client to complete.
  • File signed rates on the marketing drive.
  • Send signed rates to the region and assign an operation controller to handle the account.
  • Assist with design and review the annual standard tariff tables.
  • Monitors costs before loading on systems to ensure margins are met.
  • Logistics fuel levy adjustment to be calculated and sent to clients and log tickets on dimension data for the fuel levy to be loaded on system.
  • Update the clients rate card with new published levy.
  • Ensure signed rates are loaded on via dimension data, ticket to be sent to user and verify to user once rates are loaded.
REQUIREMENTSQualification
  • Relevant Diploma / Degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
Salary: R 20 000 plus commision
