Minimum 3 years external sales experience (new business development) is essential for this role
Experience within the steel industry, with knowledge of mild steel (flat/plate/structural) would be ideal
Good communication skills, specifically in English, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, will be required
Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel within the assigned region
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Servicing existing and sourcing new customers.
Reaching and exceeding set sales targets.
Generating and providing quotes according to customer specifications.
Ensuring a good and updated understanding of the product portfolio.
Assisting with the coordination of deliveries.
Building and maintaining relationships with customers.
Increasing market share and the company footprint within the region.
Offering technical advice and product information to customers with the aim to close deals.
Following up on outstanding orders.
Working closely with the sales team and reporting regularly to the Sales Manager.
Liaising with various departments to ensure smooth delivery of orders.
