Strong technical acumen, with experience in solution architecture, concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to explain complex technical functionality to business people in a sales environment Proficiency in pre-sales engagements, including technical discovery, RFP response, and proposal development. Deep understanding of regional compliance and market requirements for financial technology solutions. Ability to balance standardisation with customisation, ensuring scalable and repeatable solutions while accommodating client-specific needs. Analytical mindset, with a structured approach to problem-solving and capability gap tracking. Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred but not essential with relevant experience. Industry Experience: Experience within fintech, payments, SaaS, or enterprise financial technology solutions is highly desirable. Technical Proficiency: Understanding of API integrations, solution architecture, and compliance requirements within the payments industry.

Years of Experience

10+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical pre-sales, or solution architecture, ideally within fintech or payment processing. Proven experience in designing and delivering scalable solutions, working across Sales, Product, and Technology teams. Track record of successful pre-sales engagements, including RFP management and proposal development.

Technical Pre-Sales




Collaborate closely with Sales to drive successful deal outcomes by:

Leading technical discovery sessions to uncover client ambitions, requirements, and buying criteria, ensuring full alignment. Owning demo preparation and execution, tailoring scenarios and flows to client needs, and independently delivering impactful presentations. Crafting proposals that highlight Paymentology's platform strengths and address client-specific needs to maximise win rates. Managing technical RFP responses, coordinating input from Product, Technology, and Compliance teams. Providing regional insights on compliance, domestic switch integrations, and on-soil processing requirements. Defining standard deal structures and escalating exceptions for approval by the Deal Committee. Tracking capability gaps, analysing lost deals, and presenting data-driven cases to Product for roadmap enhancements. Outcome: Winning, client-aligned proposals with clear guardrails on deliverability and scope.

Solutions Design

Translate client commitments into clear, executable solution architectures by: Designing high-level technical solutions, covering integrations, workflows, Identifying deviations from standard solutions, securing necessary approvals before implementation. Delivering structured implementation plans to ensure seamless handoff to the Implementation team. Outcome: Clearly defined, executable designs that enable smooth and successful implementations.

Post-Sale Solutioning




Support Account Management in driving client growth and optimisation by:

Identifying expansion opportunities (new programmes, markets, and features) to maximise platform adoption. Providing regional guidance on market-specific requirements to help clients scale effectively. Conducting workshops, training sessions, and enablement initiatives to empower clients. Resolving post-implementation technical escalations to maintain client satisfaction and strengthen relationships. Outcome: Optimised solutions, stronger client relationships, and increased platform usage. Cross-Functional Collaboration Ensure organisational alignment by working across teams to: Own and manage technical RFP responses, coordinating efforts between Product, Technology, and Compliance. Maintain clarity on standard deal constructs, escalating deviations for executive approval. Track capability gaps, analysing lost opportunities, and presenting business cases for product improvements. Keep regional insights and documentation up to date to ensure Sales teams operate with accurate guidance. Outcome: Aligned teams, optimised processes, and strategic product enhancements.

Pre-Sales: Technical discovery sessions, RFP management, proposal development, regional documentation, standard deal clarity. Solutions Design: High-level architectures, implementation plans, and approvals for custom solutions leading to successful deployments. Post-Sale: Growth plans, optimisation strategies, and client enablement initiatives. Collaboration: Capability gap tracking, product business cases, and updated regional insights for commercial teams.
