The Sales Support Consultant will assist Senior Sales Managers in managing all operational aspects of client service delivery and project management. This includes contracting, handling daily queries, follow-ups, drafting presentations, resolving client issues, and overseeing project timelines and deliverables. The role requires strong relationship-building skills and a solid understanding of reverse data billing, bulk SMS, and managed services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Senior Sales Managers in client service delivery by managing administrative, operational, and project management tasks
Draft, review, and manage contracts and service agreements
Handle client queries promptly and ensure resolutions are communicated effectively
Conduct follow-ups on outstanding queries, proposals, and service requests
Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders
Liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction
Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate client interactions and transaction records
Monitor key account activities, ensuring timely responses and service fulfilment
Assist in the coordination and execution of client onboarding processes
Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency and client experience
Manage project timelines, coordinate tasks, and ensure deliverables are met within deadlines
Track and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders
KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Strong organisational, administrative, and project management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Managing customer requests and managing supplier relationships
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of CRM systems and sales support tools
Understanding of reverse data billing, bulk SMS, and managed services
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams
Experience with project management methodologies and tools
QUALIFICATIONS
Matric
A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a sales support, client service, or project management role within the IT and data industry
Previous experience in the telecoms industry working with products like reverse data billing, bulk SMS, and managed services is essential
