Job Summary Experience & Knowledge
Experience in Southern Africa Inbound Tour Operating (2-5 years Southern Africa expertise required).
CRM & Operating systems experience.
Travel sales experience - direct to internal business client.
Supplier communications and booking experience.
Product Knowledge, Innovation, and Development.
Personal travel experience in Southern Africa.

Required Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12).
Tertiary education with preference given to those with a diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism.

Functional Responsibilities
Handling all quote inquiries, with a view to the highest conversion rate possible.

  • Handling all individual quotes and requotes from query stage, with special emphasis on internal client sales and relationship management.
  • Delivering & maintaining service excellence to our internal client.
  • Accountable for the daily processing of all Custom and Classic quote requests which are distributed to you, and maintaining same-day turnaround.
  • Ensure all costings are being checked diligently, before sending to internal client.
  • Once quotes are confirmed, all accommodation, and scheduled commercial flights are confirmed and flight tickets issued.
  • All accommodation and flight invoices are collected at the time of confirmation.
  • All correspondence is saved to the relevant folder on the drive.
  • Maintain checklist updates.
  • In conjunction with the Accounts Manager, draft all of the New York branch invoices for your files, and ensure sent off to MNY per agreed company timelines.
  • Working with a Res Support colleague to ensure all the touring aspects of the file, and the guest operational itineraries, are correctly actioned and the relevant correspondence saved.
Ensuring that we run an efficient & profitable operation.
Ensuring that our ground handling is operated according to the highest standards, through working closely with the Operations Team.
Quality Assurance of all guest travel documentation, including final guests' operational itineraries, completed by the Reservations Consultant.
Relationship Management: Internal Client, Colleagues.
Constant Product Innovation & Development.
Identify, provide feedback, and recommend required product expansion, rejuvenation, termination, etc. based on development and market demands.
Develop and maintain awareness of industry and tourism trends and developments.
Assist with complaints and disputes to reach mutually satisfactory resolutions with suppliers' pre-, during, and post-travel.
Communicate information and training to colleagues regarding new product or destination related developments.
Provide expert opinions &/ travel feedback as and when required on destinations, suppliers & products.
Be available as required to provide help, assistance and cover for the 24 hour emergency cell phone.
