The Role:The purpose of the Sales Support Manager is to develop, implement and maintain comprehensive sales support strategies, systems, tactics, metrics, budgets, resource requirements and action plans to grow and support sales revenue targets and future growth targets within the region.Job Objectives:

  • Setup and maintain an effective sales support process and system
  • interface with Global Pricing team to ensure correct and updated price guidelines are available for tendering and ordering
  • Interface with the Global Pricing and Portfolio teams, to analyse and propose improvements to market driven pricing
  • Ensure a strong interface between regional Business Development Portfolio representatives & Product Area Portfolio & Category Managers on best / current offerings available
  • Drive, implement and monitor continuous improvement of existing systems, processes and monitoring activities
  • Ensure equipment maintenance strategies including total cost of ownership (TCO) are Implemented & commercial agreed terms are reflective of the product offering.
  • Handle internal sales process management to support sales people with sales prospects and existing customers
  • Inform Service in a timely way of opportunities and involve them in the quoting process
  • Ensure Strategic stock requests for new equipment/current equipment are prepared from a technical perspective/technical recommendation and properly processed with global inventory management team.
Key Performance Indicators are:
  • % achievement of system/process effectiveness
  • Reduced number of processes and systems for same scope
  • Level of adoption of Sandvik standards (process, organization, IT, measurement)
  • Readiness of rebuild Bill of Materials
  • Accuracy of Master Data
  • Level of adoption/use of sales processes
Your Profile:
  • The equivalent of a Bachelors Degree or Diploma (a technical/mechanical or industry related formal qualification)
  • A business qualification or at least 5 years management experience in a senior management role.
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • In depth knowledge of business process & systems management
